The snail shell of this stair really is amazing. Through the use of b/w the perspective of this view comes to a stronger impression.
I think the impression would have been more intense if the camera position would be lower so the bottom circle can't be seen and the vision falls into eternity.
If you would use a single color film (like the classic brownish ones) the image would still somehow have that b/w feeling but gain some warmth in opposition to the cold metal that is seen.
